Kendrick Lamar Fires Back at Drake with New Diss Track ‘6:16 in LA’

Kendrick Lamar continues to escalate his rivalry with Drake, dropping a second diss track aimed squarely at his fierce competitor.

Just days after unleashing the explosive “Euphoria,” the Compton rapper took to his Instagram page on Friday (May 3) to share another fiery track titled “6:16 in LA” – a clever reference to Drake’s timestamp song series.

Over a sample of Al Green’s “What a Wonderful Thing Love Is,” K. Dot launches a relentless barrage of verbal assaults at the 6 God, suggesting that betrayers lurk within his inner circle.

“Conspiracies about cash, dawg, that’s not even the leak/ Find the jewels like Kash Doll, I just need you to think/ Are you finally ready to play ‘Have you ever?,’ let’s see/ Have you ever thought that OVO is working for me?” he spits, addressing Drake’s claims on “Push Ups” about being extorted by his former label boss.

Accusing Drake of harassment within his own team and attempting to uncover dirt on him, Kendrick doesn’t hold back: “It was fun until you started to put money in the streets/ They lost money ’cause they came back with no receipts/ I’m sorry that I live a boring life, I love peace/ But war ready if the world is ready to see you bleed.”

The track doesn’t spare Drake’s allies either, with Kendrick taking aim at Akademiks, a vocal supporter of the Toronto rapper.

With “6:16 in LA,” Kendrick Lamar mirrors Drake’s own tactics in the ongoing feud, delivering a second diss track without immediate response.

While Kendrick beats Drake to the punch this time, it seems the 6 God is preparing his retaliation. Recent text messages from Drake, read out by Akademiks on his Rumble channel, suggest that the Canadian artist has something up his sleeve: “If you think this is fire, you have no idea what I got coming” and “See you soon.”

As tensions continue to rise between the two heavyweight artists, fans eagerly await the next move in this high-stakes musical showdown.
