I’m Not Davido’s Nanny or Personal Assistant – Ubi Franklin
Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin has dismissed claims that he serves as Davido’s personal assistant or nanny, clarifying his professional role in the singer’s circle.
Ubi, the CEO of Made Men Music Group (Mademusicg), addressed the misconceptions in response to an X (formerly Twitter) user’s comment that described him as a personal assistant to Davido and his wife.
He emphasised his expertise in business administration and highlighted that his involvement with the award-winning Afrobeats star stems from his qualifications and experience.
“Ubi is the CEO of Mademusicg, and if you see me working for Davido, it’s because I have the required qualifications and experience to do the job of a business administrator,” Ubi wrote.
He further revealed that Davido often refers to him as “The Solutionist,” underscoring his role in providing business support. “Definitely not his PA or nanny like most of you have tried to taunt me with. If that makes you happy, so be it. I am on the business end, and that’s where I’ll always be,” he added.
This isn’t the first time Ubi’s role has been questioned. In March 2022, Nigerian artist Timaya made a controversial tweet referring to him as Davido’s “nanny.” Davido later joined the playful banter in October 2023, jokingly calling Ubi a nanny while they were on a private jet together.
Despite the jests, Ubi has remained steadfast in asserting his professional contributions, maintaining that his work with Davido is rooted in expertise and mutual respect.
