Introducing the Nike JA 3
Nike has officially revealed the Ja 3, the latest signature sneaker for NBA star Ja Morant, marking the third instalment in his ongoing collaboration with Nike Basketball. The shoe made its on-court debut in April 2025 during the Memphis Grizzlies’ playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Ja 3 introduces a fresh and aggressive design concept dubbed “Scratch”, a nod to the raw energy and claw marks of a grizzly bear – a theme closely tied to both Morant’s playing style and Memphis’ team identity. The sneaker stands out with an eye-catching reverse Swoosh placed vertically and bold overlays that give it a fierce, layered look. It also features Nike’s high-performance ZoomX foam cushioning, designed to enhance responsiveness and comfort during play.
Nike has announced that the first colorway, called “Max Volume,” will hit stores on August 15, 2025, with a retail price of $130. The launch will include Adult and Grade School (GS) sizing. Fans can also expect several more colorways to drop across Fall/Winter 2025 and Spring/Summer 2026 as Nike continues to build on Morant’s growing signature line.
