Johnny Depp’s Lawyer, Camille Vasquez Gets Promoted at Her Law Firm After Securing Win Over Amber Heard
Camille Vasquez, the lawyer who represented American movie star, Johnny Depp at his defamation lawsuit against Hollywood actress, Amber Heard has been promoted to partner at Brown Rudnick, the lawfirm where she works.
According to a press release, the chairman and CEO of Brown Rudnick, William Baldiga said Vasquez had shown to the world that she was ready for the next stage of her career.
“Historically, we have reserved this announcement for the end of our fiscal year. But Camille’s performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she was ready to take this next step now.”
During the trial between Depp and Heard, Vasquez distinguished herself with her qtyle of questioning — sometimes reserved, sometimes aggressive. She eventually guided Depp through his testimony over several days on the witness stand in the Fairfax, Virginia, courthouse.
With Heard on the stand in the trial’s final days, Vasquez repeatedly hammered her with questions suggesting she was a liar and had invented scenarios in which she alleged Depp assaulted her. And in closing arguments, Vasquez suggested Heard perjured herself and told jurors to disbelieve her.
