Madonna Feels Lucky ‘to be Alive’ After Hospitalization

Queen of pop, Madonna, has expressed gratitude for the love and support she received from family and friends during her recent health scare. One month after being hospitalized in the ICU due to a bacterial infection, the iconic singer took to Instagram to reflect on how her loved ones helped her heal.

In a heartfelt post, Madonna shared a series of photos with two of her six children and spoke about the importance of love and support during difficult times. As a mother, she acknowledged that it’s easy to focus on the needs of her children, but when she fell ill, her kids showed up for her in a way she had never seen before, making all the difference in her recovery.

The pop legend also expressed her gratitude to her friend and longtime manager, Guy Oseary, who gifted her a Polaroid of Keith Haring wearing a jacket with Michael Jackson’s face painted on it, captured by Andy Warhol. The meaningful gift brought tears to Madonna’s eyes, making her realize how lucky she is to be alive and how fortunate she is to have known such remarkable people.

Madonna’s health scare was announced by Oseary in June, and she was released from the hospital a few days later, continuing her recovery at home. Despite the setback, the Grammy winner remains determined, rescheduling the start of her international “Celebration” tour to October. She ended her post by expressing her gratitude to all her angels who protected her and allowed her to continue her work.
