Michelle Yeoh and Jean Todt 2

Oscar-Winner Michelle Yeoh Marries Longtime Partner Jean Todt

Michelle Yeoh, the Oscar-winning actress, has tied the knot with her longtime partner Jean Todt, the former head of Ferrari, in a beautiful ceremony in Switzerland. The couple’s wedding comes almost two decades after Todt proposed to Yeoh.

Taking to Instagram to share the happy news, the 60-year-old Malaysian actress confirmed their marriage with a heartfelt post. She expressed gratitude to their families for their love and support throughout the years. The post featured photos of the couple exchanging rings and cuddling on a bed adorned with flower petals.

A wedding message posted by racing driver Felipe Massa, who attended the ceremony, provided a glimpse into the couple’s enduring love story. It revealed that they first met in Shanghai in 2004, and on July 26, 2004, Todt proposed to Yeoh, and she joyfully said yes. After nearly two decades, they celebrated their special moment surrounded by loved ones in Geneva on July 27, 2023.

Michelle Yeoh gained worldwide recognition this year for her stellar performance in “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” The film received widespread acclaim and won seven out of eleven Oscar nominations, including the prestigious Best Picture award, at the Academy Awards in March.

With a distinguished career in martial arts cinema, Yeoh’s movie credits include notable works like “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” (2021), “Crazy Rich Asians” (2018), “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (2000), and her breakthrough international role as a Bond girl opposite Pierce Brosnan in “Tomorrow Never Dies” (1997).

In a delightful nod to her Bond connection, Yeoh shared a fake film poster announcing her marriage, titled “Love Never Dies.” The poster featured an image from the Bond movie, with Todt replacing Brosnan’s face on the motorcycle, and Yeoh elegantly riding behind him.

Jean Todt, known for his contributions to motorsports as the former president of Formula 1’s governing body and a World Rally Championship co-driver, is currently serving as the United Nations Secretary General’s special envoy for road safety. The couple’s wedding was celebrated with love and well-wishes from friends and fans alike, marking the beginning of their new chapter together.
