Ma$e Breaks Silence on Diddy Controversy, Promises to Speak Out ‘Soon’
Rapper Ma$e has remained quiet about the recent allegations and lawsuits against his former Bad Boy Records boss, Diddy, including disturbing footage showing Diddy allegedly abusing Cassie. However, Ma$e has promised that he will address the situation soon.
Fans have noted Ma$e’s silence since the footage surfaced last week, despite his longstanding issues with Diddy. The footage has led to widespread condemnation and multiple lawsuits against the music mogul, but Ma$e has yet to publicly comment.
On the May 21 episode of the podcast It Is What It Is, Ma$e explained his silence, hinting that he plans to reveal his thoughts in an upcoming documentary.
“I’m saving my takes for the documentary,” he said. “If y’all wondering how I feel, it’s coming soon – pause.”
While Ma$e didn’t specify which documentary he was referring to, it’s possible he means the docuseries about the Diddy scandal that 50 Cent recently sold to Netflix. According to TMZ, there was a competitive bidding war for the project, produced by G-Unit Film and Television Studios.
50 Cent himself commented on the project while criticizing TMZ for using an unflattering photo of him in their coverage. “TMZ use this fat boy picture of me because their doc went to Tubi LOL it’s ok guys we’re all making good television mines just happens to be the best!” he wrote on Instagram. “NETFLIX wins the bidding war but if more victims keep coming out I’m gonna need more episodes.”
After TMZ updated their article with a more recent photo, 50 Cent added, “Ok TMZ put up a 2024 picture baby, let’s work! LOL.”
The news of Netflix acquiring the documentary comes amid another lawsuit against Diddy, with a woman accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting her over 20 years ago. Diddy has denied the allegations but admitted to assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in 2016 after the footage was leaked.
Ma$e’s upcoming revelations in the documentary are eagerly anticipated, as he is expected to provide new insights into the controversies surrounding Diddy.
