Mary J. Blige Clarifies Festival Inclusion Error; Ma$e Denies 2024 Performance Commitments

In a recent revelation, Mary J. Blige has addressed the confusion surrounding her inclusion in the lineup for the highly anticipated Lovers & Friends festival in Las Vegas this May. The 53-year-old iconic singer took to her Instagram Story on Thursday (January 25) to inform fans that her appearance at the festival was an error. Blige explained that she will not be gracing the stage at the event due to conflicting commitments related to her upcoming Strength of a Woman Summit.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming response from her fans, Blige clarified, “Unfortunately my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later! I have the greatest fans in the world and can’t wait to see you in New York in a few short months!”

Simultaneously, rapper Ma$e, also featured on the festival’s roster, made it clear that any announcement regarding his performance in 2024 is not official. Shortly after the lineup circulated online, Ma$e, through his social media, demanded the removal of his name from any promotional material advertising him as an act. He emphasized that he has not confirmed any commitments for the new year and urged clarity on his official stance.

In a statement, Ma$e declared, “Take my name off any and all flyers for 2024. Anybody who tries to make any deals without me physically present is not at all any official business of mine. LET IT BE CLEAR ‘Nobody’ has the right to talk for me. Nobody? NOBODY!!! Whether you think I know them or I have worked with them in the past or not!”

The public service announcement from Ma$e followed closely after the official announcement of Lovers & Friends’ plans for the summer, adding a layer of uncertainty to the festival’s lineup as artists clarify their participation status.
