Mary Njoku Urges Women to Prioritize Skills Over Cosmetic Surgery
Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has advised young women to focus on personal development rather than cosmetic enhancements, emphasizing that beauty alone is no longer enough to stand out.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Friday, Njoku highlighted how modern advancements have made physical transformations accessible to anyone with money. However, she stressed that intelligence and skills are what truly make a person unique.
“Beauty isn’t rare anymore. Anyone can alter their looks with money. But what will truly make you stand out is your mind. Develop your brain, invest in your skills, and build your knowledge,” she wrote.
She further warned against prioritizing body modifications over self-growth, stating, “While you can buy a new body, you can’t buy a new brain. A BBL without brains is a disaster waiting to happen. Substance over surface.”
Njoku’s comments come amid ongoing debates on social media about the growing trend of cosmetic surgery and the importance of intellectual and skill-based empowerment for women.
