Asake Reacts to Father’s Claims of Neglect: ‘You Can’t Please Humans’
Nigerian singer Asake has responded to allegations of neglect made by his father, Fatai Odunsi, who recently appealed for financial assistance while battling a partial stroke.
In a viral video, Odunsi claimed he had not seen his son since his illness began in March 2022, prompting mixed reactions from the public.
Addressing the situation in a new freestyle video released on Friday, Asake expressed frustration over the claims, stating that no matter how much one does, it is impossible to satisfy everyone.
“You can’t please humans, you can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God. My own father wants to cajole me even though I have always sent him a lot of money. I have struggled for so many years, yet they want to make life hard and exhausting for me,” he sang in a blend of Yoruba and English.
The singer’s response has since sparked debate on social media, with fans weighing in on the ongoing family dispute.
