Destiny Etiko Sues Queeneth Hilbert for N100 Million Over Defamation
Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has taken legal action against fellow actress Queeneth Hilbert, filing a N100 million lawsuit over allegations of boyfriend snatching.
Hilbert had publicly accused Etiko of being involved with her wealthy boyfriend, as well as allegedly having affairs with other colleagues’ partners. The accusations, made on social media, quickly gained attention.
In response, Etiko, through her legal representatives, issued a cease-and-desist letter demanding that Hilbert retract her statements and issue a public apology within 48 hours. The letter, signed by lawyers Chisom Onugah and C.C. Nwabundo, also included a demand for N100 million in damages.
Etiko, who shared the legal notice on her Instagram page, denied the allegations and claimed that Hilbert made the statements for personal gain.
