Mr Macaroni Vows to Snub Governor Sanwo-Olu Again
Popular comedian and activist Adebowale “Debo” Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has reiterated his stance on refusing to acknowledge Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in public.
The skit maker, who has previously been seen avoiding interactions with the governor at events, stated on social media platform X that he would not engage with Sanwo-Olu in any capacity, regardless of the pressure to do so.
“This is the last time I will address this matter. It is not worth my peace of mind,” Mr Macaroni wrote. “Since you people won’t stop attacking me because I didn’t greet Governor Sanwo-Olu, next time I see him, I still won’t greet him. And this time, even if he calls me, I won’t answer. You people will cry today, tomorrow, and forever!”
His stance is believed to be linked to his arrest during the 2021 #EndSARS protests, where he was detained while demonstrating against police brutality. Mr Macaroni has remained vocal about social justice issues and has consistently criticized the Lagos State government’s handling of the movement.
