The ‘WAP’ sensation enlisted Spiritbox to infuse a heavier vibe into her self-funded track, marking a departure from her usual hip-hop sound. Courtney LaPlante, the frontwoman of Spiritbox, not only provides backing but also delivers clean vocals, singing poignant lines like, “Leave me alone in the dark/I am shedding my skin/I need to harden my heart/To protect myself but the pain remains within.”
