Mercedes and adidas Shift Gears with Futuristic Adiracer GT Sneaker Collaboration
The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team has accelerated its partnership with adidas by unveiling a fresh take on racing-inspired footwear: the Adiracer GT in a striking “Matte Silver” finish.
This collaboration follows Mercedes’ high-profile switch from PUMA to adidas in 2023, ending a 13-year relationship with the former to align with the Three Stripes. Since then, F1 drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli have been spotted wearing revamped models from adidas’ motorsport archive, including the sleek Adiracer series.

Originally launched in the early 2000s and drawing design cues from the popular PUMA Speedcat, the Adiracer features a low-profile silhouette and aerodynamic construction. While adidas brought back the original quilted Adiracer earlier this year, the new GT version pushes the design into the future.
The updated Adiracer GT includes stitched leather panels over a textile base, carbon fiber detailing in the sole, and personalized touches for racing fans – including teal insoles and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS emblem on the tongue.
Priced at $150 and available in men’s sizes, the sneakers can be purchased through adidas’ official website. With demand surging among both motorsport enthusiasts and sneakerheads, the limited-edition release is selling fast.
The collaboration marks another bold move in the growing intersection of performance sport and fashion, as global brands like adidas continue to tap into Formula One’s rising cultural influence.
In related news, adidas also continues to expand its lineup with new colorways of Pharrell Williams’ Jellyfish sneakers.
