Michael B. Jordan Addresses Possible MCU Return

With Black Panther: Wakanda Forever set to hit theaters in a few weeks, Michael B. Jordan addresses a possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Breaking through for his role as Wallace in The Wire season 1, Jordan is best known as the boxer Adonis in Creed and Erik Killmonger in Black Panther, both written and directed by Ryan Coogler.

Now, Jordan makes his directorial debut on Creed III, due out next year, while Coogler is back as director of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

As reported by Screenrant, due to his well-developed backstory and sympathetic motive, Killmonger is widely regarded as one of the best villains the MCU has seen.

Even though he died at the end of Black Panther, fans of the character have held out hope for Killmonger’s return to the MCU, with some eyeing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as a possibility.

During a recent interview with ExtraTV discussing Creed III, Jordan also addressed a possible return to the MCU.

The actor admits to not knowing if that is even a possibility, though if there were ever an opportunity for Jordan to come back to the franchise, he would be eager to return. Read his full comments below:

“I don’t know if it’s a possibility. I mean, at one point or another, being able to be in the Marvel Universe was like a dream come true and if there was an opportunity for me to come back, of course I would. I’m not one of those guys like ‘oh no, I would never.’ Working with [director Ryan Coogler], what we did on that first project and what Marvel does as a whole is something that, as a fan, as a nerd and geek that I am, I just love to see those movies and those characters come to life.”
