Mohbad: Naira Marley’s Confidence Shows He Has Top Politicians Behind Him – Tonto Dikeh Alleges
Renowned Nollywood actress turned politician, Tonto Dikeh, has raised allegations of political influence surrounding Naira Marley, the boss of Marlian Records, in the wake of recent developments.
The actress made these claims while responding to a tweet from Naira Marley following his arrest by the police on Tuesday evening. His arrest is related to the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
Lagos Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the arrest of Naira Marley upon his return to Nigeria.
Naira Marley issued a statement on his social media, announcing his return to Lagos to cooperate with the authorities in the ongoing investigation. He expressed the importance of his involvement in seeking the truth and ensuring justice for Mohbad.
However, a widely circulated video on social media captured the singer being escorted at the airport before being placed in police custody.
Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram page to comment on the situation, expressing her belief that in a just society, Naira Marley would not be tweeting about his return but would be in handcuffs instead.
Analyzing Naira Marley’s demeanor while in police custody, Tonto Dikeh remarked, “Look who has come back to NIGERIA to assist the police in investigating why he and Sam Larry tortured Mohbad.”
She then raised questions about the individuals supporting Naira Marley, stating, “I ask again who are those protecting Naira Marley? In the right country, he should be in handcuffs and chains, rather than having a phone to tweet.”
Tonto Dikeh expressed her suspicions regarding Naira Marley’s confidence in his situation, suggesting that “Naira Marley’s confidence looks to me like he has some top political underdogs by his side.”
The controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death centers on allegations that Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, played a role in the tragic event. This follows the emergence of documents and videos showing the duo subjecting Mohbad to relentless bullying after his departure from the record label.
