Mohbad’s Family Rejects Inconclusive Toxicology Report, Demands New Investigation
The family of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has expressed dissatisfaction with the recent toxicology report regarding his death, calling it inconclusive and demanding a new, transparent investigation.
The family’s legal representatives, Wahab Shittu and Taiwo Odumosu, addressed the media in a virtual press conference, rejecting the toxicology report released by a pathologist. They urged the Lagos State government to commission a new test to ensure transparency and accuracy in determining the cause of Mohbad’s death.
In addition, the family appealed to Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s demise and to hold those responsible accountable.
The legal team raised concerns about the integrity of the investigation and the toxicology test. Despite claims that the test was conducted in the United States, the report allegedly lacked concrete evidence. Moreover, it featured the letterhead and address of the National Medical Services Laboratories in Pennsylvania, further casting doubt on its authenticity.
“The integrity of the investigation is in question,” the legal representatives stated. “We need a thorough and transparent process to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s untimely death.”
The Aloba family and Mohbad’s fans worldwide are seeking definitive answers and justice, emphasizing the need for a reliable and comprehensive investigation into the young artist’s passing.
