MultiChoice Introduces Loyalty Benefits to Ease DStv, GOtv Price Increase
MultiChoice Nigeria has rolled out a loyalty reward program to cushion the impact of its latest price adjustments for DStv and GOtv subscribers. The pay-TV provider announced on Monday that the new tariffs will take effect from March 1, 2024.
As part of the relief measures, customers who renew their subscriptions before expiry will continue paying the old rates for a limited period. The company is also extending its Step Up offer, which allows active and disconnected subscribers to upgrade to a higher package at no additional cost when they renew on a plan above their current subscription. This offer, which launched in January, will run until March 31.
Additionally, MultiChoice has announced plans to reduce subscription fees for Showmax, its streaming platform. The revised pricing, set to be unveiled on February 28, is expected to make premium content, including live sports and entertainment, more accessible.
Revised Pricing for DStv and GOtv Packages:
- DStv Compact: N19,000
- DStv Compact Plus: N30,000
- DStv Premium: N44,500
- GOtv Supa: N16,800
- GOtv Supa+ (New package): N11,400
MultiChoice has assured subscribers that these loyalty initiatives aim to provide relief and enhance customer experience despite the tariff adjustment.
