Fiokee, Africa’s No. 1 guitarist, has teamed up with Bella Shmurda, the reigning prince of Afro Street-hop, to release Personal, a blockbuster track that will get you in the Yuletide mood.
Fiokee, who just released another timeless classic titled Follow You alongside Afro-fusion artists Chike and Gyakie, has carved up a catalog brimming with classics. On Personal, he unleashes a slew of fascinating guitar riffs that merge seamlessly with the album’s Afro-fusion groove.
Bella Shmurda and Fiokee’s connection is smooth on this contemplative groove song, as Bella’s crisp and fluffy vocals simmer through the Amapiano-fused beat.
Fiokee’s string skill shines on this album, as he brilliantly combines his guitar riffs with the soothing piano chords and wood drumming of the Amapiano tune, resulting in a wonderful Afro-fusion combination as smooth as cake batter.
This ‘Acoustic Amapiano’ is without a doubt one of the genre’s most inventive experiments, especially at a time when the rhythm is rapidly gaining on throughout the continent. It also demonstrates Fiokee’s A&R prowess in conceiving of this duet!
