Netflix and Athletic Brewing Release ‘The Witcher’-Themed Non-Alcoholic Beer

A unique collaboration has emerged between streaming giant Netflix and one of the leading nonalcoholic craft breweries in the United States, Athletic Brewing Company, resulting in a brew inspired by the popular Netflix series “The Witcher.”

In an official news release, Athletic Brewing Company announced its partnership with Netflix to introduce limited edition, co-branded nonalcoholic beers.

The inaugural brew from this collaboration, named Geralt’s Gold, is described as a “nonalcoholic hoppy helles inspired by the hit fantasy drama.”

Starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, “The Witcher” has garnered a devoted fanbase over its initial seasons, with the third season set to premiere on June 29.

Netflix’s Vice President of Consumer Products, Josh Simon, expressed enthusiasm for creating unique experiences for passionate fans and highlighted the collaboration with Athletic Brewing as a way to bring Geralt’s favorite taverns to life.

Geralt’s Gold will be available for purchase throughout the United States and can already be found on the Athletic Brewing website.

This nonalcoholic beer offering may appeal to the growing number of Americans seeking to consume less alcohol, as indicated by a recent survey showing a 33% increase in nonalcoholic beer sales this year.

Athletic Brewing, founded in 2018, specializes in fermenting brews with an alcohol content of less than 0.5% by volume, adhering to the legal limit for nonalcoholic beer brewed in the United States.

To celebrate the launch, the first 750 individuals who order Geralt’s Gold through Athletic Brewing’s website will receive a special freebie, as announced by the company.

Netflix has been actively expanding its brand through various partnerships, ranging from clothing collaborations to a dating app and even ventures into the electric vehicle industry.

This collaboration with Athletic Brewing Company adds to the diverse portfolio of partnerships entered into by Netflix.
