Ridesharing App Black Wolf

New Ridesharing App Black Wolf Is Like Uber But With Drivers Who Carry Guns

A ridesharing app called Black Wolf has recently been launched in Atlanta and New York, aiming to compete with Uber and Lyft. What sets Black Wolf apart is that its drivers are allowed to carry firearms.

Founder Kerry King Brown stated in an interview with a local news station in Atlanta that the app is a “necessary evil” and essential for personal safety.

The service is being marketed as “executive protection” for individuals concerned about their security amidst a wave of mass shootings and escalating gun violence incidents.

While Black Wolf did not respond to emailed inquiries, they mentioned that drivers must pass a background check and receive training to de-escalate potential confrontations on the road.
Brown himself claims a background in private investigation and bodyguard work, with many drivers having military and security backgrounds.

The app offers different services, including Armed Executive Protection, Unarmed Executive Protection, and School Executive Protection, the latter specifically targeting safer transportation for children attending school.

Black Wolf emphasizes safety features such as GPS tracking and live-streaming technology to provide riders with added security and the ability to share their location with loved ones.
The U.S. has experienced a surge in mass shootings in recent months, raising concerns about public safety. Black Wolf’s social media presence spans platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

However, it remains uncertain if the app has plans to expand to other cities, unlike Uber, which rapidly expanded to 65 regions within a year of its launch.

With the government’s inaction on addressing the issue of random shootings, various businesses have emerged with their own solutions.

Some companies have developed products like collapsible safe-rooms for schools, bulletproof backpacks, and bulletproof school desks.

Unfortunately, until Congress takes action, it is likely that these alternative safety measures will continue to gain popularity.

The prevailing trend indicates that more people will resort to arming themselves and adopting protective measures, transforming everyday life into a war-like environment.

It is worth noting that the United States is the only wealthy country facing this specific problem.
