New Trailer for Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League Unveiled, Teases Epic Showdown in Gotham

A thrilling new trailer has just been released for the highly anticipated anime film Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, delivering a wild blend of action and stunning visuals that promises an unforgettable experience for fans.

The trailer opens with an extraordinary sight—Gotham City under siege as Yakuza members rain down from the sky in what is dramatically termed a “Yakuza-storm.” Not only that, but the islands of Japan are shown mysteriously appearing over Gotham. The Yakuza are apparently assembling their own formidable team, the Yakuza League, setting the stage for an epic confrontation. Batman, supported by trusted allies like Alfred, Robin, Nightwing, and Red Hood, must rise to stop this new threat.

This anime film serves as a direct sequel to 2018’s Batman Ninja, which took viewers on a time-travel adventure to feudal Japan with the Batfamily. Director Junpei Mizusaki returns at the helm, joined by Shinji Takagi, while Kamikaze Douga and YamatoWorks handle the film’s visually captivating animation once again.

Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is just one of several Batman-related projects on the horizon. Fans can also look forward to an animated movie focusing on Dick Grayson and Jason Todd—better known as Nightwing and Red Hood—as well as The Brave and the Bold within DCU Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. Meanwhile, Matt Reeves’ The Penguin is currently airing, with The Batman 2 in the pipeline.

Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is set for release in 2025 on digital and Blu-ray. For those eager to plan ahead, check out our guide to upcoming DC films and TV shows, as well as the most exciting movie releases of the year.
