Drake Places High-Stakes Bet on Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis Fight

Multi-platinum rapper and notorious sports enthusiast, Drake, is back in the world of high-stakes gambling, this time wagering a substantial six-figure sum on the outcome of the highly-anticipated Logan Paul versus Dillon Danis fight.

The Canadian artist, often referred to as the “6 God,” has shown his allegiance to Logan Paul, also known as “The Maverick,” by placing an enormous $850,000 bet on Paul’s victory over Danis by knockout. The much-anticipated fight is scheduled to take place at the AO Arena in Manchester, England, on Saturday, October 14.

Taking to Instagram to share his confidence in Paul, Drake captioned his betting slip with, “Never bet against personal vendetta and settling scores,” alluding to the long-standing feud between the two fighters.

Dillon Danis has been taunting Logan Paul for years, engaging in a war of words and posting various photos and videos, including content involving Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, on social media. This online feud even led to a lawsuit, claiming “revenge porn,” filed against Danis by the Bellator fighter.

Despite Logan Paul entering the fight as a considerable 5/1 favourite, Drake’s focus on the knockout outcome could yield a substantial return if it plays out as he anticipates. The rapper stands to net over $1.3 million if Paul secures the victory by knockout.

The fight faced a near-cancellation scare during the weigh-in when Dillon Danis, fueled by emotions, hurled a microphone at Logan Paul, causing a gash on Paul’s face. Nevertheless, Paul confirmed that the fight would proceed despite his injury.

Responding to Drake’s wager, Logan Paul expressed his confidence with a simple “Easy money” comment. Meanwhile, Dillon Danis opted for a nod to Drake’s own lyrics, quoting “850 on my head is disrespect” from Drizzy’s song “I’m Upset.”

Drake’s previous foray into the world of boxing bets ended in disappointment. In August, he bet $250,000 on Nate Diaz against Jake Paul, who was making his boxing debut. Unfortunately for Drake, Diaz lost by unanimous decision. The rapper justified his choice, saying, “Jake is a dog but I can never bet against a Diaz brother; that’s just how I was raised.”

Earlier this year, Drake also threw his support behind Jake Paul during his fight against Tommy Fury but lost $400,000 when Paul did not secure the victory. In a playful exchange, Paul jokingly blamed Drake for his loss.

“Fuck! This is Drake’s fault! Drake, bro! Why you do this to me! Nah, it’s my fault, but $400,000 is nothing to him,” he said during a press conference after a reporter brought up the fact that Drake had bet six figures on him to win and questioned whether the infamous “Drake curse” was at play.

“He’s won a lot of money betting on me before so he’s probably about even now. Sorry, Drake. I’ma get that W in the rematch,” Paul added.
