Veteran actors Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger are set to collaborate on a new film project, marking their first on-screen reunion in three decades since their iconic roles as unlikely brothers in the 1988 comedy “Twins.”
Confirming the news to CNN, DeVito, 79, expressed his excitement about the upcoming venture, stating, “We’re working on something – a project that we’re going to do together – another movie.” He emphasized the strong bond he shares with Schwarzenegger, 76, describing them as “good buddies” who have maintained a close friendship for years.
The duo previously showcased their chemistry in “Twins” and later teamed up for the 1994 comedy “Junior,” with DeVito also making an appearance in Schwarzenegger’s “The Last Action Hero” as the voice of a cartoon character.
While details about their new collaboration remain under wraps, DeVito hinted at the nature of the project, describing it as a story about “just two friends, two guys” who complement each other in various ways. Despite their differences, DeVito humorously noted, “I am way stronger than he is.”
Speculation about a potential reunion between the two actors had been circulating since last year, with DeVito teasing the possibility in a previous interview with GQ.
