Nigeria Police Await Bella Shmurda’s Cooperation in Mohbad’s Investigation
The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has announced that they are eagerly anticipating singer Bella Shmurda’s cooperation in their ongoing investigation into the controversial demise of fast-rising singer Mohbad.
Mohbad, a rising star in the Nigerian music scene, tragically passed away on Tuesday, sparking concerns and questions surrounding the circumstances of his death. In response to the public outcry, the police initiated an inquiry into the matter.
Adejobi emphasized the importance of gathering pertinent information to aid their investigation and appealed to individuals who may possess useful details, especially close friends and family members of the late rapper, to come forward.
Controversial self-styled investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, took to her social media platform to issue a 48-hour ultimatum to Bella Shmurda, urging him to approach the Nigerian Police and engage with Detective Prince Moye, or alternatively, the Force Criminal Investigation Department (CID) located in Ikoyi.
On her social media handle, Olunloyo posted, “Bella Shmurda I’m giving you 48 hrs to go to @PoliceNG and speak to @Princemoye1 or force CID Ikoyi.”
In response to Olunloyo’s ultimatum, Police spokesperson Adejobi quoted her post and added, “I am waiting to hear from him.”
Bella Shmurda had previously disclosed in an interview that Mohbad had made an attempt to take his own life following a fallout with Marlian Music, the record label owned by Naira Marley. He also revealed that the late rapper had been receiving threats, shedding light on the challenges Mohbad faced before his untimely demise.
