Nike Air Max Sunder Returns in Futuristic Silver and Fusion Red Colorway

Nike is bringing a bold, retro-futuristic twist to one of its late-’90s designs with the release of the Nike Air Max Sunder “Fusion Red.”

First introduced in 1999 as part of Nike’s Alpha Project, a line known for experimental designs and cutting-edge technology, the Air Max Sunder continues to evolve with modern reinterpretations. This latest edition strikes a balance between the minimalist color-blocking of its original run and the louder, more expressive looks of recent drops like the “Realtree Camo” and “Off Noir.”

The upcoming release features a glossy silver exterior accented by pink-tinted reflective panels on the mudguard, giving the sneaker a distinctly futuristic feel. The pops of Fusion Red add vibrancy, making the design stand out while staying true to the silhouette’s performance-driven roots.

Despite its premium look, the Nike Air Max Sunder “Silver/Fusion Red” will be a general release, expected to launch on Nike.com in the coming weeks. Priced at $180, the sneaker will be available exclusively in women’s sizing, though no exact release date has been confirmed.

With this drop, Nike continues to revive late-’90s innovation for a new generation of sneaker fans, blending nostalgia with forward-thinking design
