Nike SB PS8 Debuts in Classic Black-and-Gum Design for Fall 2025

Nike is set to release a new colourway of its SB PS8 model, drawing on a timeless black-and-gum aesthetic that has long been popular in skate culture.

The SB PS8 pays tribute to the late Sandy Boedecker, a key figure in the rise of Nike SB, whose influence helped transform the brand into a dominant force in skateboarding. The shoe’s name references Boedecker’s Instagram handle, making it one of Nike’s most direct homages to him.

This upcoming release marks only the second time the PS8 has swapped its usual translucent sole for a solid, opaque gum outsole. The colour scheme nods to the understated style favoured by generations of skaters, blending heritage appeal with modern updates.

Part of Nike’s Fall 2025 line-up, the SB PS8 in black and gum will retail for $120 when it launches later this year.
