Odumodublvck: “Fame and Wealth Were Never My Goals”
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has shared that achieving fame and riches was never his primary motivation for pursuing a career in music.
During an appearance on Hip TV’s Trending, the rapper expressed his focus on making an impact through his craft, rather than seeking widespread recognition or financial gain.
“I’ve never tried to be famous,” he explained. “People chase fame like they chase money, but I’ve never wanted fame. From the start of my music journey, I only cared about creating meaningful work and leaving an impact.”
Odumodublvck clarified that while promoting his music has naturally brought him some level of fame, he does not aspire to the glamorous ideals of fame often portrayed in the media. “That kind of fame – the TV’s version of ‘rich and famous’ – has never appealed to me,” he added.
The rapper rose to prominence in 2022 with his hit song Picanto, featuring Ecko Miles and Zlatan Ibile. In 2023, he further solidified his reputation with the single Declan Rice, which gained additional traction when Arsenal used the track to announce the signing of footballer Declan Rice on July 15.
Odumodublvck’s comments highlight his commitment to artistry and purpose, showcasing a refreshing perspective in an industry often dominated by material aspirations.
