Odumodublvck Warns Nigerian Artists Against Hating Wizkid
Rapper Odumodublvck has advised fellow Nigerian musicians against harbouring negative feelings toward Grammy-winning artist Wizkid, calling it a form of self-sabotage.
In a recent interview with content creator Elsie during his visit to Toronto, Canada, the Wotowoto Seasoning rapper highlighted the importance of appreciating Wizkid’s contributions to the industry. He cautioned that hating on the renowned singer could only lead to setbacks for those involved.
Odumodublvck emphasized that he wouldn’t be upset if he collaborated with Wizkid and the singer chose not to promote the project on social media.
“There are some artists who make it seem like they’re doing you a favour when you collaborate with them,” Odumodublvck remarked. “But I’ve never released music and asked the featured artist to post about it. The most important thing is they gave me a verse.”
He added, “If Wizkid gives me a verse and doesn’t post it when my album comes out, I won’t be angry. If you start hating on Wizkid Machala, you lose.”
Odumodublvck’s comments reflect the deep respect he holds for Wizkid’s contributions to the Nigerian music scene and serve as a reminder to his colleagues to avoid unnecessary animosity.
