Pepsi Replaces Coca-Cola as Subway’s Drink Provider Starting 2025

Subway, the renowned sandwich chain, is set to transition to serving Pepsi beverages exclusively in the United States starting next year, marking the end of its longstanding partnership with Coca-Cola products.

In a recent news release, Subway disclosed its upcoming 10-year collaboration with PepsiCo, scheduled to commence in 2025. The move will entail an exclusive offering of Pepsi beverages across Subway outlets nationwide.

The agreement further stipulates that Subway will retain its affiliation with Frito-Lay snacks until 2030, while franchises will have the option to expand their beverage selection to include a broader range of Gatorade products.

Expressing Subway’s dedication to enhancing its food quality and guest experience, the company emphasized the importance of aligning beverage offerings with evolving consumer preferences.

PepsiCo’s diverse portfolio, encompassing renowned brands like Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Tropicana, and Gatorade, promises to cater to Subway’s varied demographic preferences effectively.

Subway’s longstanding association with Coca-Cola began in 2003 with a 15-year contract, encompassing popular offerings such as Diet Coke and Sprite. As the agreement nears its conclusion in 2025, Subway opted to transition to Pepsi products.

While acknowledging the conclusion of their partnership with Subway, a representative from Coca-Cola affirmed their commitment to serving the chain and its franchise partners until the contract’s expiration.

Pepsi’s role as Subway’s primary beverage provider extends beyond the United States, encompassing various regions worldwide, including Canada, Germany, the Nordics, and the Netherlands.

In addition to the beverage transition, Subway recently unveiled its Sidekicks menu, featuring three new foot-long snacks: the Cinnabon Footlong Churro, Auntie Anne’s Footlong Pretzel, and Footlong Cookie, offering customers an expanded array of savory and sweet options to complement their meal choices.
