Pharrell Unveils New Music at Louis Vuitton FW24 Show, Featuring Collaborations with Mumford & Sons and Miley Cyrus

Renowned musician and Louis Vuitton’s menswear creative director, Pharrell Williams, stole the spotlight at the Western-themed Fall/Winter 2024 fashion show in Paris, debuting fresh tracks and showcasing collaborations with folk band Mumford & Sons and pop sensation Miley Cyrus.

One of the unveiled tracks, titled “Good People,” features a collaboration with Mumford & Sons and has already hit streaming services. Pharrell, contributing production and backing vocals, introduces a unique dimension by incorporating a Native American choir into the single.

In another surprising revelation, Pharrell presented a previously unreleased collaboration with Miley Cyrus, named “Doctor.” The track, reportedly over a decade old, was initially intended for Cyrus’ 2013 album “Bangerz.” The Western-themed event provided the perfect setting for the debut of these musical creations.

The Fall/Winter 2024 collection, inspired by the American Old West, reflected Pharrell’s creativity with denim, cowboy hats, and suede pieces. The show attracted a star-studded audience, including Playboi Carti, Quavo, Gunna, Bradley Cooper, Venus Williams, and Carey Mulligan. Longtime collaborator Pusha T also made an appearance, walking the runway in a beige tracksuit while carrying one of Louis Vuitton’s signature holdalls.

Pharrell discussed the inspiration behind the collection, emphasizing the diverse representation of cowboys. “They looked like us. They looked like me. They were black and they were Native American,” he stated, challenging traditional portrayals of cowboys.

Despite the early stage of the year, Pharrell has already made waves with a Louis Vuitton collaboration with Timberland and enlisted LeBron James as the face of the brand’s upcoming Spring/Summer collection. However, Pharrell faced criticism from PETA last year for a Louis Vuitton bag made from crocodile skin, retailing at $1 million and adorned with gold details. The animal welfare organization expressed disappointment, urging the artist to consider vegan alternatives for ethical and environmentally conscious consumers.
