Katt Williams Unveils Plans for New Posthumous 2Pac Album Featuring Cardi B

In a surprising revelation on Suge Knight’s Collect Call podcast, comedian Katt Williams announced that he is working on a new posthumous album for iconic rapper 2Pac, set to include Cardi B among its features.

During a recently released episode, Williams discussed the upcoming ‘Pac project with the imprisoned Death Row Records co-founder. Knight expressed excitement about the collaboration, saying, “The different people you said you’re gonna put on there. I don’t wanna let the cat out the bag but it’s unbelievable.”

Williams disclosed that the album would boast eight guest artists, ensuring they are “only the best of the best.” When Knight inquired about Cardi B’s involvement, Williams affirmed, saying, “Absolutely.” Knight then commented, “I always say she’s the female version of 2Pac,” to which Williams responded, “She’s going to mix with him nicely. Everybody that’s on it is a piece of him, in a way.”

The conversation took a turn towards criticism of Eminem’s 2004 posthumous album, “Loyal to the Game,” which Knight referred to as the only ‘Pac project that “flopped.” However, Williams refrained from sharing further details about the album, including the source of 2Pac’s vocals or the attached producers.

Despite numerous posthumous ‘Pac albums released since the rapper’s tragic death in 1996, recent speculations and reports suggest new material is on the horizon. Last year, it was reported that the estate was preparing to release four previously unreleased songs as part of a planned greatest hits album. Additionally, associates like E-Love and DJ Daryl have hinted at unreleased Battlecat-produced songs and a new ‘Pac project featuring vocals from their respective vaults.

In the podcast conversation, Williams and Knight also touched upon Jada Pinkett Smith, a close friend of 2Pac before his demise. Williams claimed that Pinkett Smith coined the term “Katt Pac,” prompting Knight to speak fondly of her, saying, “That’s the homegirl, she ain’t as crazy as people think she is. She made Will [Smith].” Williams added humorously, “And [she] can make another one,” before playfully referring to her as “Queen Beard.”

Pinkett Smith previously shared that Knight delivered 2Pac’s ashes to her after his death, a moment she described as “devastating.” When asked about Knight’s involvement in 2Pac’s murder, she cautioned against making assumptions, emphasizing the complexity of the situation and acknowledging that there is always more to the story.
