Portable Asserts Musicians Earn More Than Footballers
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has weighed in on the ongoing debate regarding the earnings of musicians versus footballers. According to the “Zazu” hitmaker, musicians out-earn soccer stars by a significant margin.
In a recent video message shared on his social media page, Portable made bold claims about the income generated by musicians. He argued that the music industry offers greater financial rewards than not only football but also illicit activities such as ritualism and fraud.
“Music money is bigger than football money,” Portable declared. “Music is business. Musicians earn more than ritualists and fraudsters. Apple Music revenue is huge. Footballers can’t compete.”
He continued by dismissing those who believe footballers earn more than musicians, stating, “People saying footballers earn more than musicians don’t know what they are saying. Musicians are at the top.”
Portable’s remarks have sparked discussions across social media, with many weighing in on the comparison between the financial successes of artists and athletes.
