Portable Bows to Pressure, Apologizes to Saheed Osupa

Nigerian singer Portable has issued a public apology to Fuji icon King Saheed Osupa after previously calling him “big for nothing” amid a copyright dispute.

The controversy began when Osupa and his distribution team took down one of Portable’s songs from streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify, over alleged copyright infringement. The track reportedly contained a line from Osupa’s music, leading to its removal.

Reacting to the takedown, Portable lashed out at the Fuji star in a viral rant. However, following backlash from fans and the public, the singer has now expressed remorse for his comments.

In a video shared on his Instagram page, Portable attributed his outburst to his temper, pleading for forgiveness. “My fans, I have a hot temper, but I’ve said my mind and it’s over. Please forgive me. King Saheed Osupa, Oba Orin, don’t be offended,” he said.

He further acknowledged that financial issues were at the root of the dispute, saying, “It was money that caused the fight. It was music money that led to this issue when I went to collect payment and was told the song had been removed.”

Portable concluded his apology by asking Osupa to accept him as a son, hoping to mend their relationship.
