Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has cautioned fans and promoters against using his name to boost the popularity of other celebrities.
The movie star expressed frustration over a growing trend where his name is frequently mentioned in online discussions to promote other actors. He urged people to support their favorites without dragging him into the conversation.
Taking to his X handle, Egbuson wrote, “I can smell a PR campaign from a mile away, and to be honest, it’s getting boring. Push your fave in peace and leave my name out of the conversations. I’ve found my tribe, and they love my work. 15 years strong.”
With over a decade in the entertainment industry, Egbuson emphasized that he has built a dedicated fanbase and does not need comparisons to remain relevant.
