Rapper Bow Wow Takes His Son to First Football Game Amidst Co-Parenting Journey
Bow Wow, the renowned rapper of “Let Me Hold You” fame, recently demonstrated his commitment to fatherhood by treating his young son, Stone Moss, to his inaugural football game experience. In an Instagram post that swiftly garnered attention, Bow Wow shared a heartwarming moment as he held his son, witnessing the Atlanta Falcons face off against the Carolina Panthers at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Falcons emerged victorious with a score of 24-10 in the thrilling match-up.
Stone Moss, the child Bow Wow shares with model Olivia Sky, has been at the centre of a tumultuous co-parenting journey. Their relationship has seen its share of ups and downs. In April 2022, Olivia Sky took to Instagram to vent her frustrations, publicly accusing Bow Wow of denying paternity and failing to provide financial support when she needed it most.
Sky’s health had taken a hit due to severe food poisoning, rendering her unable to care for her child. In such circumstances, it was expected that the father would step in to help. However, Bow Wow remained distant from Sky’s situation.
Expressing her distress, she wrote, “It sucks because I got food poisoning so bad… can’t be in mommy mode and throwing up everywhere. Can’t even ask his daddy for help because I’m blocked. Never complain but I am today… then gonna pray on it and let it go.”
Accompanied by a video of her son, she added, “Such a good boy tho it’s never no pressure.” Bow Wow did not respond to Olivia’s plea for assistance, consistent with their tumultuous history.
Initially, Bow Wow vehemently denied paternity when Olivia Sky filed for child support. However, in a fleeting moment of acknowledgement, he shared photos of Stone from his first birthday party in June 2021. Nonetheless, his denial persisted, as demonstrated during a Twitter Q&A with fans in September.
The turning point came in October 2021 when a court ruled in favour of Olivia Sky, affirming Bow Wow’s biological paternity of Stone. The rapper took to social media to express his newfound joy, writing, “Such a blessing to have him in my life,” in response to the court’s decision.
Bow Wow’s journey from denial to acceptance of fatherhood serves as a testament to the complexities of co-parenting and the evolving dynamics within families.
