Rapper DDG Announces Plans to Relocate to Nigeria
American rapper and YouTuber Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG, has expressed his desire to move to Lagos, Nigeria, citing exhaustion with life in the United States.
The Los Angeles-based artist made the announcement on Monday via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, where he stated:
“I wanna move to Lagos.. I’m tired of being in America.”
DDG’s post has sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians welcoming the idea of his relocation.
His statement comes amid growing interest in Nigeria from international entertainers. Notably, Chloe Bailey, the sister of DDG’s ex-girlfriend Halle Bailey, has been visiting Nigeria frequently, following speculation about her relationship with Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy.
