Spyro Dismisses Rumours of Fathering Nengi’s Newborn
Nigerian singer Spyro has addressed speculation suggesting that he is the father of reality TV star Nengi Hampson’s newborn.
Nengi recently revealed that she welcomed her first child in February, sparking widespread reactions. Spyro, who has previously expressed admiration for the former BBNaija star, reposted her announcement video on social media, congratulating her on the birth of her baby.
However, his post fueled rumors that he might be the child’s father. Responding to the speculation via his Instagram story, Spyro dismissed the claims, criticizing Nigerians for jumping to conclusions.
“Nigerians, very ignorant set. Exactly why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer… But then again, what do I even know? Congratulations again, my Nengs,” he wrote.
Nengi’s Pregnancy Rumors Spark Controversy
Before Spyro’s involvement in the conversation, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri was previously rumored to be responsible for Nengi’s pregnancy. However, the governor swiftly denied the allegations, describing them as baseless and attributing them to his political adversaries.
Neither Nengi nor the father of her child has publicly addressed the rumours.
