Reekado Banks Reconsiders Marriage Plans with Babymama, Cites Emotional Growth
Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has revealed that he is no longer certain about marrying his fiancée and mother of his child, just two months after expressing confidence in their future together.
Speaking in a recent interview on TVC’s Interview with Esther Oye, the Easy (Jeje) crooner admitted that his outlook on the relationship has shifted, attributing the change to personal growth and a reassessment of his emotional readiness.
“I was pretty sure about my stance at my last interview, but I’m now in a different place,” he said. “It’s only been two months since that conversation, so I can’t really say anything definite now. I was sure then, but I’m not sure now. That’s based on experience. I wouldn’t blame it on music—more on myself and my emotional intelligence, which I’m still working on.”
Reekado’s comments come months after the artist and his partner welcomed a baby boy in November 2024. The pair made their first public appearance together the following month, sparking rumours of an upcoming wedding.
Now, however, the singer seems to be taking a more reflective approach, suggesting that maturity and personal growth are influencing his current hesitation.
Fans have reacted with mixed feelings online, with some supporting his honesty and others expressing concern over the uncertainty surrounding his family plans.
