Reekado Banks Threatens to Expose ‘Demonic’ Music Industry Figure

Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has hinted at exposing a mysterious figure in the entertainment industry whom he accuses of deliberately sabotaging the careers of emerging artists.

In a cryptic post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Banks claimed that this individual consistently gains access to promising talents but either makes poor decisions or intentionally hinders their progress.

“One day, I’ll take an interview to talk about someone in the corners of the entertainment industry, who’s either absolutely clueless or plain demonic,” he wrote.

He further alleged that policies enforced by this figure often slow down artists’ growth or discourage them from pursuing their careers entirely.

His statement sparked widespread speculation, with many fans assuming he was referring to a figure from his former record label, Mavin Records, where he first rose to fame. However, the singer swiftly dismissed those claims, clarifying that his remarks were not directed at Mavin boss Don Jazzy.

“It may not be obvious to you all, but I’m definitely not referring to Baba J [Don Jazzy],” he wrote, adding a firm warning in Yoruba to the person in question.

While Banks has yet to reveal the identity of the alleged industry saboteur, his comments have reignited discussions about challenges faced by young artists navigating the Nigerian music scene.
