Scarlett Johansson 2

Scarlett Johansson is a Full-Fledged Disney Adult Despite that Lawsuit

Scarlett Johansson, who sued Disney in 2021 for breach of contract, is still a dedicated Disney fan. She described her level of devotion to Disney in a recent interview with Variety.

The Black Widow star revealed that she visits Disney World at least ten times a year and is someone who “geeks out” when talking about Disney movies. Johansson’s love for Disney began when her family lived in Florida for two years when she was younger.

Johansson shared that when she was growing up, it was a great time for Disney animation with films like “The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” and “The Lion King,” which had incredible soundtracks.
She even mentioned that she would pre-buy tickets to “The Little Mermaid.” She stated that her dream job is to have a corner office at the Disney studio lot.

Despite suing Disney, Johansson has appeared in nine Disney-owned Marvel films as the Black Widow since 2010 and is still attached to headline Disney’s “Tower of Terror” movie based on the iconic theme park ride.

The lawsuit was filed when Disney released “Black Widow” on its home streaming platform Disney+ on the same day it was released in theaters, which she claimed would reduce her financial stake in the film. She agreed that her salary would be largely based on the film’s box office numbers. The legal battle escalated when Bob Chapek, then-CEO of Disney, released a statement revealing Johansson’s $20 million salary.

Johansson and Disney came to a settlement in the fall of 2021, but the terms were not publicly disclosed. Despite the lawsuit, Johansson holds no bad blood and remains steadfast in her belief in the magic of Disney.
