‘She is a Crazy Woman’ – Fireboy DML Opens Up on Date with American Singer Madonna
Nigerian Afrobeats star Fireboy DML has shared his unforgettable experience going on a date with American pop icon Madonna, describing her as “a crazy woman” in the most endearing way.
The 29-year-old singer recounted the encounter during a recent appearance on the 90s Baby Show, where he reflected on how the night unfolded and how it gave him a fresh perspective on relationships and fame.
“Madonna took me on a date and she paid the bills,” Fireboy said with a laugh. “I offered, but come on… it’s Madonna. I let her. The conversation was different. The dynamics were different. It was refreshing.”
He hinted that the exchange between them was both unexpected and enlightening. “It helped me see things differently – like, oh, so this is what it feels like to be taken out on a proper date? I can’t share all the details… for not-so-obvious reasons. But it was very crazy. She’s a crazy woman.”
In an earlier interview with Billboard News in 2024, Fireboy had described the date as the “most memorable day” of his life, calling Madonna “so weird and funny.”
The two artists previously collaborated on the 2022 remix of her 1998 hit Frozen, which featured Fireboy and was accompanied by a music video shot in the United States.
