Snoop Dogg Praises SZA and Keke Palmer’s New Film: ‘Black Girls Rule the World’
Snoop Dogg has voiced his admiration for One of Them Days, a new film starring SZA and Keke Palmer, describing it as a much-needed dose of positivity.
The rap icon took to Instagram on Wednesday (January 22) to share his thoughts on the movie, which also features production from Issa Rae.
“Just got back from seeing Just One of Them Days [sic], and it was an exceptional movie,” Snoop wrote. “Shout out to Keke and SZA, Issa and the whole cast. Real good movie. We need some good stuff right now. Black girls rule the world. Great job.”
His endorsement comes as SZA, Keke Palmer, and Issa Rae continue promoting the film, including a recent appearance on Hot Ones. During the episode, the trio discussed their work and shared laughs, with Palmer playfully bringing up SZA’s past connection to Drake.
“Is Drake a good kisser?” Palmer asked, referring to the brief period SZA and Drake dated in the late 2000s.
SZA deflected with humor, saying, “We were children! 2009? We were children. Real shit.”
This playful exchange comes years after Drake revealed the relationship in the 2020 song “Mr. Right Now” by 21 Savage and Metro Boomin. While some fans questioned the timeline of their romance, SZA later clarified on social media, confirming their relationship took place in 2009 when she was over 18.
“Anybody who really knows me and was around during this time can confirm… It’s all love, all peace,” she wrote, adding that it was “completely innocent.”
With the release of One of Them Days, Snoop’s endorsement highlights the film’s impact and celebrates the collaboration of these talented Black artists.
