6ix9ine Released on Bail After Assault Arrest in the Dominican Republic

6ix9ine, the controversial rapper, has been released from jail in the Dominican Republic on $500,000 bail after his arrest on an assault charge.

According to Antena Noticias 7, a Dominican news outlet, the rapper has been granted bail, but a restraining order remains in place, requiring him to stay away from the two men he allegedly assaulted. He is also mandated to attend anger management classes.

On October 24, after his release, 6ix9ine took to his Instagram Stories to convey a message to his fans in Spanish, which was later translated into English. He said, “First of all, I want to thank God, Dominican Republic, thank you. I love you. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the love that the people of La Vega. You are there tomorrow morning. He continued, “The procedure to execute freedom has already begun, God. Through him, I will be free tomorrow, so thank you for everything. Thank you for the support. Thank you, I love you. Thank you for the support. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was arrested earlier this month on allegations of assaulting two men related to an incident involving his girlfriend. Video footage that emerged online showed 6ix9ine and his entourage arriving at a producer’s home in the Dominican Republic and then leaving minutes later. Although the alleged altercation was not captured on camera, the police issued an arrest warrant for the rapper on charges of “blows and injuries, and threats.”

Criminal lawyer Felix Portes revealed that 6ix9ine had attempted to board a private jet to flee the country when authorities intercepted the plane.

Following some uncertainty about his location, he was taken into police custody, and images of his arrest, along with his mugshot, circulated online.

6ix9ine recently broke his silence regarding his arrest, expressing his gratitude to his fans in Spanish on his Instagram Stories. In English, the message conveyed, “First I want to thank God that I am in good health and well cared for, and thank you to everyone who has me in prayer. Thank you for your support, I love you very much. I feel so happy seeing you in full support. The same day I get out of jail, I want to give them a little gift for the neighborhood of Vega.
