Stefflon Don Discusses Relationship Status with Burna Boy and Clash with Jada Kingdom
British Jamaican rapper Stefflon Don recently opened up about her relationship with Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy during an interview with GRM Daily. The conversation also touched on her recent dispute with Jamaican star Jada Kingdom over Burna Boy.
Stefflon Don initially misinterpreted the interviewer’s question about rekindling relationships, thinking it referred to Burna Boy rather than Jada. She laughed off the confusion, calling the interviewer “funny.”
Stefflon Don and Jada Kingdom had previously exchanged barbs after Stefflon released her song “Dat A Dat,” where she insinuated an unnamed woman had been with her partner. This led to speculation about Burna Boy’s involvement with Jada Kingdom, prompting a response from Jada.
In the interview, Stefflon Don clarified that she no longer cares about Burna Boy and Jada Kingdom’s alleged affair, as she was not with Burna Boy at the time. She emphasized that her diss track was not aimed at Jada and that they were “cool,” though not friends.
“We [me and Jada] used to be cool. And the situation that happened [Burna and Jada’s alleged affair], I wasn’t even with him [Burna Boy then]. I don’t even care what he is doing,” Stefflon Don said. “In the song, I said my man, not my ex. That [Burna Boy] was my ex.”
When asked if she sees a future rekindling of her relationship with Jada, Stefflon Don laughed, realizing the initial misunderstanding. “Oh! You are talking about me and Jada? I thought you were talking about me and Burna. That’s funny.”
Stefflon Don and Burna Boy announced their split in 2021 after dating since 2019. Rumors of their rekindled romance surfaced in April 2024 when Burna Boy reportedly gifted Stefflon Don a car for her birthday. However, neither has confirmed nor denied these reports.
