T.I. & Tiny Demand $165K From Harassment Accuser After Lawsuit Gets Dropped

T.I. and Tiny Harris Launch Counterclaim Against Sabrina Peterson Following Dismissal of Harassment Claims

Hip-hop power couple T.I. and Tiny Harris have taken legal action against their former friend, Sabrina Peterson, in response to the dismissal of the majority of her harassment claims against them.

Court documents, recently obtained by Radar Online, reveal that the Harrises filed a counterclaim against Peterson on August 31, seeking compensation exceeding $164,000 in legal fees.

In the legal brief submitted by the couple’s attorney, it is stated, “The Harrises’ request for $164,650.56 in attorneys’ fees and costs is reasonable and in line with fee awards regularly affirmed in this district. Given the complexity of the legal issues, the time necessary to adjudicate Peterson’s seven causes of action over a two-year period, and the additional costs of appeal, the amount requested should be awarded in full.”

At present, a judge has not issued a ruling on the counterclaim, and the legal battle between the parties continues.

The dispute between T.I., Tiny Harris, and Sabrina Peterson dates back to 2021 when Peterson initially levelled allegations against the “Rubber Band Man” rapper, alleging various physical and sexual assaults.

Peterson, who was previously considered a friend of Tiny Harris, initially made these claims via an Instagram post, asserting that T.I. once placed a firearm against her head in the presence of her children. She later clarified that the incident occurred because she was defending T.I.’s former female assistant, who she claimed was mistreating Tiny.

In her Instagram post, Peterson lamented, “The sad part about being a woman & BEING A BLACK WOMAN IS THIS! The public PRAISES OUR PREDATORS! @troubleman31, you PUT A GUN TO MY HEAD IN FRONT OF CHILDREN & I NEVER CALLED THE POLICE ON YOU! But for years, you have painted me as the VILLAIN!”

Furthermore, Peterson publicly shared allegations of sexual assault made by other women against T.I. and Tiny Harris. In response, the couple denied these accusations on social media.

However, in June, T.I. and Tiny achieved a partial victory when an appeals court dismissed several claims from Peterson’s lawsuit. Court records disclosed that California’s Second District Court of Appeal rejected Peterson’s claims of trade libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and intentional and negligent interference with prospective economic advantage.

Following the filing of Peterson’s lawsuit, T.I. and Tiny submitted a motion to dismiss based on California’s anti-SLAPP law, which safeguards free speech. While initially denied, their motion was ultimately upheld by the appeals court.

T.I. and Tiny’s attorney, Andrew B. Brettler, expressed his satisfaction with the decision, stating that he was “generally pleased” and remained confident in clearing his clients of Peterson’s defamation and false light invasion of privacy claims. The legal battle continues to unfold as both parties seek resolution in court.
