TECNO Unveils EllaClaw Beta, AI Agent Tailored for Nigerian Users
TECNO Mobile has announced the upcoming beta launch of EllaClaw, a new mobile AI agent designed specifically for users in Nigeria and other emerging markets.
The tool, powered by the OpenClaw framework, is integrated into TECNO’s existing AI assistant, Ella, and is aimed at simplifying everyday smartphone tasks through advanced automation and intelligent assistance.
According to the company, EllaClaw operates at the system level, allowing users to carry out complex, multi-step actions through simple commands. One of its standout features is “One-Sentence Automation,” which enables users to trigger full task execution—such as scheduling activities or organising files—using natural language instructions.
The AI agent also introduces cross-app data integration, connecting information across apps like SMS, calendar and notes. This allows it to generate summaries, prioritise messages and create daily schedules that combine events, updates and relevant information in one place.
TECNO says EllaClaw is built on a “Practical AI” approach, incorporating a memory system that learns user habits over time. This enables the assistant to become more proactive, offering suggestions and completing tasks based on user behaviour.
The company added that privacy remains a core focus, with safeguards in place to ensure user data is secure and not accessible to unauthorised third parties.
The launch builds on the momentum of the TECNO CAMON 50 Series, which recently introduced enhanced AI capabilities to the Nigerian market.
A limited group of users in Nigeria will gain early access to EllaClaw during the beta phase, with broader rollout plans expected to be announced in the coming months.
Industry observers say the move signals TECNO’s growing focus on AI-driven mobile experiences, particularly in markets where users are seeking more intuitive and productivity-focused smartphone tools.
