Tems Reveals She Shares Everything with Her Mother
Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has opened up about her deep bond with her mother, revealing that they share everything she owns.
Speaking in an interview with ET at the 67th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, Tems emphasized the significance of their relationship.
“What I have is hers. We share everything I have,” she said.
Reflecting on her Grammy win, she expressed gratitude, saying, “I’m grateful to God. I’m thankful. I think it’s a blessing. I’m extremely blessed and favoured. I just want to give that out in any way that I can.”
Tems won the Best African Music Performance award for her song Love Me Jeje at the ceremony. While accepting the award, she dedicated it to her mother, who raised her and her brother as a single parent.
