Portable Accuses Olamide of Taking His Team Amid Asake Fallout Rumours

Controversial street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has called out rapper and music executive Olamide over allegations that he took his producer, dancer, and promoter instead of signing him.

In a video shared on his social media page, Portable mocked Olamide while addressing rumors of a fallout between the Melo Melo crooner and his former signee, Asake. Reports have circulated that Asake may have parted ways with YBNL Nation under unclear circumstances.

Reacting to the speculation, Portable expressed disappointment that Olamide only featured on his breakout track Zazu Zeh rather than offering him a record deal. Despite this, he claimed to be more appreciative of Olamide’s support than Asake, whom the rapper signed and heavily promoted.

“Olamide Baddo, if you had asked me to sign to your record label, I would have gladly accepted it,” Portable said. “But instead of signing me, you took my producer, dancer, and promoter, Kogbagidi, from me. The person you helped [Asake] doesn’t rate you anymore, but me, you only gave a verse, and I’m still grateful.”

The Zazu Zeh hitmaker further urged Olamide to give him the same level of promotion Asake received, boasting that he could surpass the Lonely At The Top singer with similar backing.

Neither Olamide nor Asake has responded to Portable’s claims.
