Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has opened up about his relationships with fellow artists, revealing his close bond with Rema and an unusual dream he once had about Burna Boy.
Speaking on the Afrobeats Podcast with Adesope, Odumodublvck described Rema as one of his closest friends in the industry. He also defended his friendship with Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s president, clarifying that their relationship is based on mutual respect rather than politics.
“Seyi Tinubu is my friend. Regardless of his father being the president and people throwing stones at him, he’s my friend,” he said. “When he invited me to his home for dinner, it wasn’t about politics—it was because he loves my music. I’m a street boy. Seyi has nothing to gain from me.”
The rapper also spoke about his deep admiration for Burna Boy, whom he referred to as his “spirit animal.” He recalled an intriguing dream he had before ever meeting the Grammy-winning artist.
“Before I met Burna Boy, I saw him in my dream, and we were eating pounded yam,” Odumodublvck revealed. “When I finally met him in real life, he told me that was the first time he had eaten pounded yam in two years. This thing is not a joke.”
Odumodublvck, who frequently references spirituality in his music and public statements, emphasized his strong faith, saying: “People think I just cap. They think I talk about Jesus because I’m a fanatic. But I’m a big fan of Jesus. Anything I say, I bind here on earth and in heaven, as long as it aligns with the will of God.”
